Aaron Gearhart
Principal
AGI English Institute
My background is in education, and I was a licensed high school teacher in America. When I got here, I fell in love with teaching kindergarten and elementary students, and for 20+ years I haven’t looked back. After a few years working in academies, I built AGI with a focus on the student’s experience of learning English in mind. My wife and I made this school with clear learning objectives in mind, so every child could be successful. The motivation from that success would then carry them forward in their English language learning.
I’m thrilled and lucky to have run into so many talented people who have become management and teachers at AGI. I strive for a school with a positive environment where teachers and students can thrive. I’m very proud of the successes our students have had, and I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
Bret Clevenger
Program Director
Head of After School
I began my experience as a teacher in 2005 as a student teacher in the United States. After several years in education, the refreshingly student-centered approach at AGI brought me to the school. That was over ten years ago, and I’m still encouraged by the continued dedication and growth of everyone involved in AGI.
As the program director here at AGI, I’m especially proud of the opportunities our program provides students to grow. We work to foster the curiosity necessary to be a successful student anywhere. Both in my own classroom and in opportunities to meet other classes, I find the students to be engaging, energetic, and enthusiastic. Because of this, I always enjoy being with our students and helping them achieve their goals.
Alex Finch
Production Manager
Head of Kindergarten
During my seventeen year stay in Korea, I have worked at three schools. The first two were two years each. Deciding to stay at AGI for so long is testament to the continued growth and passion for language learning present at this school. After working with older students in my first two positions, I was keen to engage with students at an earlier stage of their language learning and begin to drive their experience forward from the ground floor.
From the beginning of my time teaching here at AGI I have been focused almost solely on delivering my lessons in an exciting way that offers each child in my class the chance to be inquisitive, to try, to fail, and to learn in a manner that gives them every opportunity to excel, and most importantly enjoy, their language adventure.
